Dogtastic Photo Sessions

Dogs in the city?  Dogs in the countryside?  Dogs on the beach?  It’s up to you.  We can have the photo session wherever you and your dog love spending your time.  I also have a small studio based at my home in Newport.

What to expect.

The Dogtastic experience is all about celebrating your love for your dog and creating beautiful, timeless portraits of them.

Once you have booked, we will have an initial consult where I find out about you and your dog and we will set a date and plan the session.  This can be done over the phone or you are very welcome to come to my home studio for a cuppa and a slice of cake!

The photo sessions are designed to be fun for both dog and owner, and dogs are never asked to do anything that they aren’t comfortable with.  When a dog needs space or time out it will be given.  The dog is always my first priority, and its well-being and safety is paramount.

During the photo session we will photograph a variety of different images including portraits and action shots.  Outdoor sessions will of course have a much wider variety of images than a studio setting.

The images will be ready to view approximately one week after the session, and the viewing of images can take place in my studio or through an online gallery. Prints and digital images are available to order online, and other products can be ordered through myself.

If you’d like to know more please drop me an email and I will send you a brochure and price list.

FAQs

My dog isn’t very well behaved?

It doesn’t matter if your dog is well trained or not.  Jumpy up dogs, barky dogs, nervous dogs are all welcome.  I have worked with all types of dogs, and plenty of patience and a few little tricks I have up my sleeve will always help me get great images.

My dog can’t be off lead.

Most leads are able to be removed post production, so no one will know it was ever there.  In fact many of the images in the gallery are taken while the dog is on a lead. Harnesses can be more tricky to remove, so a lead attached to flat collar or a slip lead is recommended if possible.  I have long leads that can be used for action shots.

I have more than 2 dogs

If you have more than 2 dogs then please add an extra £20.00 per dog to allow for the extra time required for shooting and editing.

Do you photograph other pets

Yes I also adore all our other two/four/eight legged companions and I would love to hear from you if you would like your cats, horses or other creatures photographed.

Can I be in the photographs too?

Yes of course.  If this is something you would like, we can put some time aside during the session to capture the bond between you and your dog. If you are camera shy just make sure you wear some cool shoes or your best wellies and we can just photograph part of you!

How far do you travel?

If you are more than 45 minutes away from Newport there may be extra travel costs involved.

I love dogs and could talk about them all day.  I enjoy hearing all of their stories, where they are from and what they get up to.  I look forward to meeting you and hearing all about them.
